Why will you love it? Because it can make your life easier and increase your visibility with you doing very little.

At last, LinkedIn is following Instagram’s lead and rolling out collaborative posts.

This means that you can invite other people to team up and you both (or all, if more than two of you are collaborating) share the same post. If you don’t have time to create your own regular content, this is a fantastic way for you to acquire shared content with whoever has written it – as long as they want to include you, of course. (It’s great for teams, for example.)

And if you collaborate with others on a post you’ve written – and they accept it, your content will be seen by a much wider audience as it will appear on their profile too. So their network will see it, ultimately benefitting you all. Only the person who created the post can edit it, but all collaborators can view metrics to see what’s going on.

This feature is being rolled out gradually, so you might not see it today. It hasn’t appeared on my screen yet, but I’m excited to know it’s coming…
