This Website is owned by Imaginative Training and Development Limited, registered as a Limited Company in England.
We take user privacy seriously and take reasonable efforts to protect it. We have created this Privacy Policy in order to share with you our information collection and use practices. We will never knowingly sell or assign your personal information without your knowledge and approval. Please read this Policy carefully before sharing any personally identifiable information described below.
By using, registering your details on this website, you agree to the collection, use and transfer of your information under the terms of this policy. Since this is a growing web site and because Internet technologies are constantly evolving, this Policy is subject to change at any time and any changes will be posted on this page.
This Policy works hand-in-hand with our Terms and Conditions, found elsewhere on the web site. For the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2018 (and previously the Data Protection Act 1998), the Data Controller is Imaginative Training and Development Ltd, registered office: The Retreat, 406 Roding Lane South, Woodford Green, Essex IG8 8EY.
Your rights under GDPR
- In line with the GDPR, this section confirms your rights.
- The personal data we hold may include your name, email address and company details. We will never sell this information or pass it on to anyone else, it is simply used to provide you with information about our services that we believe you may be interested in.
- If you would prefer for your information to be deleted, this will usually happen within 72 hours – and often immediately, if it’s during business hours and I’m by my computer when you ask.
- Further information is given below about Mailchimp, the programme we use to send emails, and Lead Forensics, a system that identifies people’s interest in particular web pages.
- If you request any information about the data we hold, we will supply this free-of-charge within 21 days.
- The lawful basis on which we process data is to keep you informed about services in which you have shown an interest.
- We will keep your information until you ask us not to.
- You have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office if you believe we have mishandled your data.
- You gave your consent for us to contact you by opting in via the sign-up box or by giving us your business card or details and agreeing to be added to our mailing list. You have the right to unsubscribe at any time.
What identifiable information do we collect and how is it used?
The only personal information we will ever collect is your email address and name, if you choose to provide it for the purpose of joining our mailing list.
If so, we may use or disclose your personally identifiable information to:
- enable you to participate in interactive features of our service, when you choose to do so;
- provide products/services that you have requested;
- respond to your enquiries or requests;
- provide you with information about specials offers, sales or new products or services that we may introduce in the future, via our email system – which is currently Mailchimp.
Legitimate Interest
We may process your data under the lawful basis of ‘legitimate interest’ if we identify a legitimate interest and:
- you could benefit from our business communications (commercial interests);
- emailing or phoning you is the most appropriate means of communication;
- we’ve balanced your interests, rights and freedoms;
- you could reasonably expect to receive the information ; and
- it would not cause you unjustified harm.
You can see our Legitimate Interest Impact Assessment here: GDPR legitimate interests assessment.
Even though we process data under legitimate interest, we believe in giving people the right to choose. Therefore, leading up to 25th May 2018, all subscribers to our mailing list were given clear instructions on how to reconsent or unsubscribe from the list. Unsubscibers were removed immediately, and people who did not indicate a preference continue to receive periodic emails unless they ask us to remove their details.
Recommendations and referrals
Throughout my business and personal life, I have made several hundred contacts, and I love to introduce people who need help. Over the past year alone, I’ve connected website creators, graphic designers, accountants, lawyers and business advisors with potential clients; artists with an art curator and creative charity, other charities with potential sponsors, financial advisors with banks – and many more successful introductions. This is not a service I charge for – it’s simply a pleasure to introduce people to others who may have synergy, work potential or just get on well! I have often maintained people’s information for that purpose. I believe that falls into the remit of “legitimate interest” but this may be updated as I learn more about GDPR leading up to 25 May 2018.
